Bridging Art and Science: STEAM Education in a Digital World
Now in its ninth year, 4CAST draws faculty and lecturers together each January to examine how learning technologies can be leveraged to engage students, make connections between instructors and support staff, and identify educational potential in new technology. The event is sponsored by ITS-Office of Teaching, Learning & Technology, the UI Libraries, and other University partners.
To kick off the January 14 event, John Unsworth, Vice-Provost for Technology and Library Services, CIO, and Professor of English at Brandeis University, will present a keynote address about the impact of innovative technologies on student learning. Following the morning keynote and small-group discussion, afternoon breakout sessions will showcase an array of innovative teaching technologies being implemented at the UI.
4CAST ’16 will take place on Thursday January 14th, 9:00-2:30 in University Capitol Centre 2520-D, the Conference Center. Lunch will be provided, and registration is required due to limited space.
