They may not look the same, they may not get published the same, but scholarly books are still with us, predictions of doom aside. We still write, publish, and read quite a lot of books in one format or another, and some publishers are even increasing their output by double-digit numbers. But as scholarship and the book evolve, our use of and relationship with books has changed, perhaps for good.
