Don’t Bury Me Yet: Challenging Assumptions About Students’ Usage of E-textbooks

In this presentation, the researchers will discuss their findings of two mixed-methods studies of student adoption of e-textbooks. We will discuss how instructors’ assumptions about students’ usage of e-textbooks did not match students’ actual ways of using them. The goal of our presentation is to spark a discussion about the role of the instructor in helping students use e-textbooks effectively.
