Annually: The Event
The Campus Academic Strategies and Technology (4CAST) event draws instructors and support staff together each January to examine how learning technologies can be leveraged to engage students, to make connections between instructors and support staff, and to identify educational potential in new technology.
Ongoing: The Website
This website facilitates discussion past the annual event. 4CAST topics may vary year to year. Short posts are published on the homepage through May by 4CAST sponsors in response to ideas and issues raised by participants during January’s event. The commenting feature on each post allows participants to continue the dialogue on a particular topic.
Articles posted on the homepage may also respond to lively discussions between UI instructors 4CAST sponsors in the 4CAST Forums.
The Galleries has video of presentations, and explanation of each year’s theme, and pictures from the events.
The Faculty Development area connects faculty and instructional staff to current training and development offerings from the 4CAST sponsors.
